Marathwada Mitramandal's College of Architecture envisioned an environment, the space outside yourself, which binds to the outside such that your existence is shaped by it.
An architect is the only professional privileged to visualise and create the feeling of space and environment for others to inhabit, with sensitivity for those who will ultimately use it and live in it. Being an architect is therefore an ultimate responsibility, to be as near the "Grand Designer" as one can imagine.
This five-year course gives you a holistic insight into all forms of interior and exterior space design, and lets you explore them in depth in the context of the individual as well as society. It also equips you with knowledge of subjects ranging from history to structure, drafting to construction, and surveying to valuation.
The course is structured to give you exposure to, and the ability to explore, the world of actual construction through practical work such as case studies, site visits and study tours, and through expert lectures, seminars, workshops and do-it-yourself exercises, while you develop management, leadership and communication skills.
The aim of the study is to turn you from an avid learner into an ever-learner of the philosophy of life, perceived and expressed through a professional eye. Architecture is a discipline always in need, one of humankind's prime necessities, shaping both interior and exterior spaces, with the ultimate aim of becoming a TOTAL PERSON. This series of dialogues is meant to help students understand the complexity of the design process in depth, and how an architect takes a project from conception to completion.
