Two long-running practices: giving back to society, and learning directly from leading architects.
MMCOA was established in 1985 under the trust Marathwada MitraMandal, with the motto “येथे बहुतांचे हित” (Welfare of Masses).
Under the trust's umbrella, all its institutes take up social programmes and actively promote them through extra-curricular activities. This sensitises students and encourages them to give back to society in their own capacity. Students and staff took part enthusiastically in welfare activities for social causes.

In 2008–09 the college started a new activity called “Samwad”, a dialogue between students and leading architects from the field.
The series helps students understand the complexity of the design process in depth, and how an architect takes a project from conception to completion. Guest lectures by eminent personalities in architecture, engineering and allied fields give students more exposure.
